The Struggle for Lifecampaign is led by APIB, the largest Articulation of Indigenous People of Brazil. The primary purpose of the Stand with Amazoniainitiativeis to raise funds and support for them and to draw international attention focused on the facts of this imperative situation. We do this for the Indigenous Peoples and vital biota of the Amazon, as well as for the entire world.
The current neglect endangers not only the local peoples with severe human rights violations, but presents a significant risk to the air and water quality (CO2/O2) of our entire planet. The balance of Earth's atmosphere, needed for all of us to breathe, is in imminent danger if the destruction continues at the current rate of escalation. We must support the people of Amazonia, so they can regenerate their fractured communities and retain what remains of the Amazon Rainforest for future generations.
Stand with Amazonia is working directly with the indigenous peoples of the Amazon River Basin, the Pantanal (AMAZONIA), and other vulnerable populations.
The situation is escalating every day and the situation has the potential to get much worse.
The more allies and partners join this initiative, and the more sponsor logos we can present, the more people we represent standing side-by-side and the more viable our message will be. The international community MUST stand in solidarity with the Indigenous of Amazônia for all of our survival ~ it is all of our issues to solve.
Most people around the world do not understand why HUMANITY needs the Amazon in order to survive and maintain quality of life.
Working together with the indigenous people and other groups, we can help raise the alarm to prevent an even worse human catastrophe.
We need to raise international awareness and support URGENTLY. This situation concerns not only Brazil, not only the indigenous people but all of humanity. What happens in the Amazon does not stay in the Amazon!
There is much that individuals can do and MUST do to change this situation. Please share on your social networks; change your own behaviors; talk with your family and friends; invite your trusted partners, organizations, and allies to join; and encourage everyone else to
This initiative is about providing disaster relief aid and the response so urgently needed right now for the vulnerable people of the region. There is so much each of us can do individually and collectively ~ if we can work together.
We're currently coordinate internationally, preparing to send the needed materials out, and working on generating regular campaigns to amplify the message and support these goals.
There are very many other vital ways in which to participate besides just helping to spread the word. What is most important is to coordinate all efforts, resources, and talent TOGETHER with the people of the region.
We are demonstrating to the world that we care enough to contribute. Contact us to learn more. Every contribution counts.
We can work together for the Indigenous Peoples and the rainforest with any of these actions.
